พระสมเด็จบางขุนพรหม

พระสมเด็จบางขุนพรหม เป็นพระเนื้อปูนขาว เรียกตามชื่อตำบลที่ตั้งของวัด คือวัดบางขุนพรหม ปัจจุบันคือวัดใหม่อมตรส ในปลายรัชกาลที่ ๔ เสมียนตราด้วงต้นตระกูลธนโกเศศ ได้มาบูรณะปฏิสังขรณ์ใหม่ในปี พ.ศ.๒๔๑๑ และได้สร้างพระเจดีย์ใหญ่ เสมียรตราด้วงได้อาราธนาสมเด็จพระพุฒาจารย์ (โต พรหมรังสี) เพื่อทำพิธีสร้างพระสมเด็จบางขุนพรหมขึ้นที่วัดอินทรวิหารบางขุนพรหมแล้วนำมาบรรจุไว้ในพระเจดีย์องค์ประธานหลังพระอุโบสถวัดใหม่อมตรสประมาณปี พ.ศ.๒๔๑๓ มีบันทึกเปิดกรุครั้งแรกในปีพ.ศ.๒๔๓๖ ครั้งหลังในปีพ.ศ.๒๔๕๔ พระจากกรุทั้งสองครั้งนี้เรียกว่าพระกรุเก่า ต่อมาในปีพ.ศ.๒๕๐๐ ได้มีผู้ลักขุดเจาะเจดีย์ ทางวัดจึงได้ทำการเปิดกรุนำพระสทเด็จออกมาทั้งหมด เพื่อให้ประชาชนเช่าบูชาเพื่อนำเงินมาบูรณะวัด กรุครั้งหลังจึงเรียกว่า พระกรุใหม่ พระสมเด็จบางขุนพรหมพิมพ์ที่นิยมในวงการพระมี ๙ พิมพ์คือ ๑. พิมพ์ใหญ่ ๒. พิมพ์ทรงเจดีย์ ๓. พิมพ์เส้นด้าย ๔. พิมพ์ฐานแซม ๕. พิมพ์เกศบัวตูม ๖. พิมพ์สังฆาฏิ ๗. พิมพ์สังฆาฏิ (มีหู) ๘. พิมพ์เอกครุฑ ๙. พิมพ์ฐานคู่

History of creating Somdej Bangkunprom Amulets

Somdej Bangkunprom Amulets was made of white plaster, the amulet was named after the location of the temple, now the name was changed Wat Mai Amataros. In the Reign of king Rama the 4th, there was an official clerical staff called “Duang” -the ancestor of Goses Family- renovated the temple in 1869, and ordered the pagodas to be build. Mr. Duang invited Somdej Phra Budda Jarn (Toh Promarangsi) presided over making Somdej Bangkhunprom amulets ceremony at Wat Indra Viharn, then brought all of the amulets placed in to the main pagoda behind the new chapel of Wat Mai Amataros in 1870. According to the record, the first time to open the Gru was in 1893, the second time was in 1911, these two times of amulets collected from the Gru called “Old Gru Somdej Seriess”. In 1957 there was some pagoda raider raided Somdej Bangkhunprom amulets, the temple decided to open the Gru and brought all of the amulets out, then rented (sale) to the people and used the income to renovate the temple, the time of the amulets were called “New Gru Somdej series” There are 9 series of Somdej Bangkhunprom amulets favorite among the amulets collectors: 1.
